Pune Police Video

If you have watched a movie recently at Inox in Pune (and probably in some of the other theatres too), you would have seen the pretty sweet and almost innocently amateurish video by the Pune Police in association with FTII on public participation in keeping the city free from terror. And while, at first glace, it looks as if the attempt could have been so much more professionally executed, it's actually a very well done gig! There's a very nice projection of the police force as our protectors and public servants in the true sense, watching over our safety and security. There's a nice sequence that shows the QRT and BDDS squads mobilizing into action and catching the terrorists and neutralizing the threat. And the subtle messaging - just as the sequence starts, the traffic light turns red, and once everything is clear, it's a green for go, and life starts moving again. The video ends with a short and simple, powerful message: Be watchful. You could save a life, and it could be yours.
