Movie Review: Gangster Squad

It's LA, 1949, terrorized by the ruthless mob of Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn), with the law reduced to mere spectators and the corrupt web of Cohen extends deep into the police, the judiciary, the administration and the politicians. As a last ditch effort, the Chief of Police sets up his own under-the-radar squad, led by Sgt O'Mara (Josh Brolin), with a single mandate - make no arrests, just clean up the muck.

A good gangster movie with some vintage car chase sequences, and hand to hand combat, but not for Bourne fans.
