Movie Review: Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi

SFKTNP is a ghisi piti love story with a lovely twist - the protagonists are 40-something Parsis, Shirin (Farah Khan in a pretty decent role) and Farhad (Boman, as always, very convincing).

What works for the movie: Boman, but even more, his mom and grand mom, two outstanding performances.

What works against it: the second half, you realize there's only so much you can take of this love story with a twist.

The movie also gives a close look at life of the tiny Parsi community, their clothes, their food, their mannerisms... although some of the scenes could have been toned down

The music is actually pretty interesting, juxtaposed against the 40-something actors... works pretty well, actually, except the SRK-Kajol et al bit.

Watch out for Nauheed Cyrusi in her brief cameo - she looks stunning!

Should you watch the movie? Maybe, if you wanna watch a ghisi piti love story with a twist, if you want another Boman special, or if you aren't going on the Konkan drive this weekend :)
