In Goa last week, we dropped in at this new lifestyle store and picked up three beautiful pieces - an outdoor water fountain, an indoor Buddha fountain, and a volcanic ash table. As you can imagine, the total bill was pretty high - in the 6 digits. Now, I wasn't carrying a cheque book, and it was my dad's bday the next day, and I wanted the indoor fountain to be delivered early in the morning.
So guess what? The owner simply took my address and delivered the goods early the next morning. No bill, no deposit, not even a token amount. And he said, "Don't worry, you can pay me next time I am in Pune!".
This truly happens only in Goa!
