HP Photosmart C4788

Got a wireless color printer scanner copier from HP today, and had it up and running on my home wireless network in around 15 mins. Absolutely amazing, how these machines and software are built nowadays to literally install and configure themselves at the touch of a button. Very, very cool!

The printer itself is pretty sexy, and very good for home applications with a pretty decent color scanner/copier, memory card support and computer-less operation.

At around 7500 (with a 1500 cash back), I think it's a pretty good deal.

Can u help me in fixing this errorif u got the same..i m using windows VISTA os.

I haven't used it on Vista, mine is on XP Home and Win 7. If you are getting a driver error, best would be to try and install the driver from the net directly. Better, call HP Support and get them to come over and help in the installation.

Can you please tell me your landed price whether it was 6000 after cash back or was it 7500 after cash back

I paid 7500. They are supposed to give me a cash back of 1500. I have sent the application form, I am yet to receive the money.

So for now, it's 7500 :)

Hi Siddhesh,

I bought this printer as well. Really Nifty! Well I bought this from Croma in Mumbai, and I cannot find the website or the application where I should apply for the Cashback...
Could you help me find this website where I can apply for this?
Thanks in Advance,

Pranay

Pranay, I had tried searching the net, and couldn't find it any where. When I had purchased the printer, they had told me it was available on the HP site. I wrote to HP India, and they said there was no such offer :)

Finally, I went to the shop to fight with them, and then they gave me the form.

Your best bet would be to go and threaten to sue Croma if they don't give you the form.

Hi Siddhesh..just got the same printer today..was trying to install it & it gave me some error msg abt Windows 7. HP Customer Care Service sucks, because every time I call them, they route me to a new number. Can't imagine they'd be so useless. I have a Windows 7 32 bit OS..do u think that's non compatible?

Hey Nenz, no, I have it working on my Win 7 laptop, so I don't think it's an issue with Win 7 per se.

And yes, HP customer service sucks.

And I haven't yet got the money back they had promised :(

An update - the printer rocks, and I have still not got the money back - and now, I have given up on it
