Wrong Things, Right Reasons

A nice thought from Shantaram...

Sometimes it's necessary to do the wrong things for the right reasons. What is important is that we are sure that the reasons are right, and that we admit the wrong. We should not lie to ourselves and convince ourselves that what we are doing is right.

Interesting snippet.. But who gets to decide what is wrong?? I've come to an understanding when it comes to the rights and wrongs of life and I happen to believe now that most things belong to the gray area - No rights no wrongs - Rights and Wrongs are decided by the "civilization" that we have come to belong to! I want to get down to basics. Raw.. Non spiced.. Unanalyzed .. Humanity! If you're not causing a hinderance in someone else's life, I think you should do what FEELS Good. Period.

Shantaram also tells you what is right and what is wrong :)

The world started from nothing with a big bang, and the universe is continuously expanding - towards God! Anything that takes you towards Goa - towards that expansion is right. Anything that takes you back to the beginning of the universe is wrong. Killing is wrong. Corruption and black marketing is right :)

Yes, Yes, I know it's too much for mere mortals like you and me to comprehend - but I like the quote, and I like your comment :)

What I like to do is right, what I cannot do is wrong :)
